ANNE-MARIE AGBODJI {CEO/FOUNDER}

Anne-Marie Agbodji is an actor, writer, and Citizen of the world based in New York City and Paris. A graduate of The City College of New York, she began writing her own material in 2011 as a means of keeping her creativity alive in-between gigs.

She founded Dancing Dervish Inc. in 2017 while working on her first short film, Les Papiers Volants, which she wrote, produced, directed, and starred in. The film is in French with English subtitles, and will have its world premiere at the Paris Independent Film Festival in Paris, France. LPV is currently being submitted for consideration to film festivals around the world.

Anne-Marie is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA and looks forward to bringing many more projects to life through DDI.

AJANI SHAKANOVA {EDITOR/DIRECTOR}

Ajani Shakanova is a writer/director from NYC. A former actor, he discovered his knack for directing in his later college years and delved right into the art form.

His first project, Mania, a collaboration with Anne-Marie, has led him to develop his skill and broaden his lens to including documentary filmmaking. His documentary series Lens Africa focuses on the stories of African migrants across the world as they settle in places like the United States.

Ajani recently contributed to DDI as editor and DP for Les Papiers Volants. He is currently in pre-production for his second short film with DDI.
